Has there ever been a time when you and your significant other’s schedule was free for the same evening and you wanted to make dinner plans, but didn’t know where? Or had friends visit (because everyone loves Atlanta!) and not have recommendations on where to go for a nice, but affordable dining experience? This has happened to us all way too many times. So, Spendefy has decided to create a list of the “Top 7 Restaurants For A Night Out In Atlanta”.
Located in Marietta, GA, The Do Restaurant is the eatery to go to when you are in the mood for great pizza. The D-O in the restaurant’s name is pronounced [dough] as in the popular musical scale doh, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti; because they specialize in musically inspired pizza. While you are there you might want to try their “Rhythm” Meat Lover’s Pizza or the “Harmony” Seafood Pizza. If your plus-one or group of friends aren’t feeling the idea of pizza, the restaurant does offer other options such as shrimp scampi, a seven salad selection, and pasta.
If you want to “Relax & Enjoy” your evening, then Food Therapy is the romantic, exotic, oasis destination restaurant, bar and lounge that you’ve been looking for. Located in the Druid Hill area, this restaurant has a sophisticated and elegant ambiance for the perfect date night or celebratory gathering. Their Mediterranean menu offers affordable options that everyone is certain to find enticing. Food Therapy Bar & Lounge even offers hookahs after dinner service has ended.
Don’t we all love a good seafood restaurant (seafood is my absolute favorite)?! Sweet Auburn Seafood – located on Auburn Avenue in Atlanta – offers outstanding seafood with excellent service in an exceptional atmosphere. We recommend their Shrimp and Grits with chicken sausage, melted tomatoes and low country cream. Their meals are priced at $30 and under with farmstead options available such as Chicken & Waffles or Steak & Eggs. Enjoy live music on Wednesday through Saturday evenings.
4. M Bar
Located on the Trolley Line and in the Heart of the Sweet Auburn Historic District, M Bar is an amazing boutique concept with state of the art technology embedded in three very distinct spaces. M Bar offers its guests the definitive Bar & Lounge experience. From after work to after hours, this quintessential bar concept melds the appeal of an ultra exclusive lounge with vibrant energy of a high-end bar.
The BQE Restaurant Lounge offers southern cuisine but adds dynamic contemporary flavors to classic old southern recipes, to give a unique and new dining experience. Located on Edgewood, we recommend their Turkey Wings and Red Velvet Waffles & Chicken (definitely a dynamic change to a classic southern recipe). There is definitely something for everyone to enjoy at this contemporary southern cuisine that promises an intimate and relaxed dining experience.
This Midtown restaurant is known for their comfy chairs, sofas, and swings. All bar stools are replaced by swings so if you are looking for something different, Boogalou Restaurant Lounge is without doubt the place to venture. This spot is the perfect gathering or date night location. After the regular dinner hours conclude the Boogalou transforms into the perfect night life lounge. Don’t worry they offer a late night menu. We recommend you try their Fish or Shrimp Tacos.
This Atlanta restaurant located on Park Avenue West is known for their coastal soul cuisine. On their menu you will find entrees that blend together the flavors and techniques of the coastal regions of Southern United States, Cuba, South America, Europe, The Caribbean, and Africa. The menu offers “irresistible” selections that will “tingle your taste buds.” We recommend that you try the Caribbean Seafood Sancocho. Be prepared to be wowed with the unique blend of coastal soul cuisine flavors and techniques.
